Our World

Founded in 2019 in Nanchang, China, Petits Plaisirs • 物食记 began as a tea salon and artisanal pastry house.

At that time, Vincent was teaching French pastry, and the project naturally grew around craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the beauty of everyday moments.

In 2022, we returned to France to begin a new chapter, keeping the same name and the same philosophy: respect for ingredients, respect for time, and respect for the human experience of dining.

Building upon our pastry foundation, we gradually introduced cuisine, shaping today’s identity around a refined dialogue between Chinese culinary sensibility and French elegance.

Our approach favors balance over excess, sincerity over spectacle, and seasonality over routine.

The name “物食记” can be understood as a memory of food and of life.

We envision Petits Plaisirs not simply as a restaurant, but as a place where guests can slow down, share, and reconnect with the pleasure of eating well.

From pastry to cuisine, from China to France,

our belief remains unchanged:

it is always sincerity that leaves the deepest impression.

La Table Ouverte

La Table Ouverte grows out of Petits Plaisirs · 物食记.

It sees the table as a place where food, art, memory and everyday life can come together.

Through exhibitions, conversations and shared experiences, each project begins with real stories and creates new connections between people, food and place.

At the origin of the project

La Table Ouverte was initiated and is curated by Chanjuan Zhu, founder of Petits Plaisirs · 物食记.

Before creating the restaurant, she worked in higher art education, artistic practice and spatial design. These different experiences gradually led her to see the table not only as a place to eat, but also as a space for encounters, storytelling and the sharing of experiences.

Through La Table Ouverte, she develops projects together with artists, craftspeople, chefs and people from different fields. Each project grows from the participants’ own experiences and creates a dialogue with food, space and everyday life.
